RSOs are needed to facilitate the limited, one day a month, guest shooting plan.

Our Rifle & Pistol Ranges include:

  • A 14 point (12 covered and 2 point uncovered) outdoor 100 yard rifle range
  • A 10 point (8 bench and 2 draw from holster) outdoor 60 yard pistol range

To use the facilities you must be a member or the member's immediate family (member's spouse, dependents under 18 years of age, or grandchildren under 18 years of age). Membership includes use of the facilities for members of your household when accompanied by you.

Members have use of the range facilities during the daylight hours (9:00 am to sunset). Members may bring two guests to the monthly guest shoot (usually the first Sunday of the month). Members only may use the range at any other time.

Guest shoots do not have a guest fee.

Be sure to display your membership card while at the ranges. You cannot shoot without a membership card.

Empty Chamber Indicators (ECIs) are required on the ranges. The Chapter has ECI's at no cost to members. As an alternative you can make a homemade ECI. Simply tape bright duct tape to a long zip tie like a flag, and use that as an ECI. It works great & serves the purpose.

Please reuse the backers if you take them from the range. If you have a source of backers, bring them to the range shed.
Police used brass to keep the range clean for everyone.

If you are showing a gun to someone at the range, do it during a 'HOT' range and at the benches on the firing line.

Guest Shoot at Rifle/Pistol Range:
A limited guest policy has been initiated at the rifle/pistol range to encourage members to bring guests to eventually become new members. On the first Sunday of every month, members can bring up to two guests at no charge to shoot at the range. There are two half day sessions (9 - 12 in the morning or 12:30 - 3:30 in the afternoon). Chapter RSOs will be present on guest days to monitor and control the range.

Chapter RSOs Needed:
The Chapter has approved rules that will allow Chapter RSOs to sign up on the website to bring up to two guests per day as compensation for Chapter RSO volunteer service. This benefit will be for a 3 hour session similar to the regular monthly rifle/pistol guest sessions, but can be performed on any day the range is open. The guest pass hold harmless agreement should be placed in the box under the Caretaker's car port.
In order for Chapter RSOs to be eligible for this benefit they must have a current NRA RSO certification, current IWLA range rules certification, and have performed at least 4 hours of Chapter RSO volunteer service within the previous 12 months.
The RSO vouchers may also be used at the archery range (but not the shotgun range).

No guests are allowed on the ranges except under the conditions mentioned above!
